South West Airfields

The South West Airfields Heritage Trust is made up of a small number of like-minded men and women most who have served at sometime in their life within a branch of the British Armed Services or worked with an ancillary such as communications, at least three of the current members are local living witnesses regarding the events surrounding Culmhead, Dunkeswell and Upottery airfields all of which are situated on the plateau of the Blackdown Hills
The aim of the Trust is to do what it can to preserve the heritage and integrity of the World War II era with regards to the WWII airfields in the south west of England whilst honouring those who served from them in particular the three airfields afore mentioned.
The Trust would very much welcome anyone with an active interest in any aspect of military history (or civilian) to join us.
